Cooktown Orchid (Dendrobium phalaenopsis)

Вышила еще один цветок из этой книги. Как ни странно :-) мой выбор пал на орхидею, которая оказалась еще и цветочной эмблемой Квинсленда - Cooktown Orchid.

I've stitched another design from the book I posted about before. My choice was (no surprise here) - an orchid, which happened to be a floral emblem of Queensland, one of Australia's states - Cooktown Orchid.

А это две вышивки вместе - мне очень нравятся цвета, лен тот же - 40ct, cream, в одну ниточку ДМС.

Both flowers together - same 40ct linen, one DMC thread over two.

Мой новый зеленый питомец :-) Надеюсь, выживет - поставили в зону недосягаемости от Патапуфа - он имеет странную наклонность к орхидеям - его до трясучки тянет покусать листья! Предыдущий цветок стоит покусаный, но живой, правда пока повторно не цвел :-)

My new green pet - an orchid. We placed it so that Patapouf cannot possibly get close to it, as he feels unstoppable urge to eat the leaves! The previous orchid is still shocked by his behaviour - beaten leaves, no flowers yet...
